    Jumping Fish Seriously Injured Woman

...A St. Petersburg woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by what authorities believe was a jumping sturgeon.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman says Sharon Touchton had been camping with a group of friends along the Suwannee River on March 31st . When she regained consciousness, she told investigators something about a "big fish." Sturgeon can grow up to 8 feet long and up to 200 pounds. The FWC spokeswoman says problems with sturgeon came to a head last year when 10 people were injured in accidents caused by the jumping fish....
